Emily & Michael Bobbitt's Wedding

Congratulations to Emily and Michael! They were married this past Saturday, April 4th. They were married at Manigault's La Vielle Maison in the west end neighborhood of Greenville SC. It was truly an awesome celebration with great food, wonderful people, and a live band that rocked the free world. Here are some of the shots from the evening...

Rob was one of the groomsmen at the wedding and while we were doing the groomsmen pictures he says to me, (jokingly) "That wood pile over there would make a great background for pictures!" I laughed and replied."Heck yeah man! Go get on it!" Surprised, he happily obliged. This was the result... Good stuff.

The bride and groom are announced, and we went old school with it.

This shot is why I love what I do. It was totally an accident. This happens from time to time. You spend all this time composing shots through the view finder, making sure that everything is framed right, and that the exposure and lighting are correct and then sometimes you just truly get "lucky". This was when Emily and Michael were announced. Emily's father was standing behind them and when I snapped this, I didn't realize what I had captured. This is one of those "true" moments. I almost feel as if I shouldn't be seeing this. It is so revealing of how Emily's father must be feeling on the day he sees his daughter off. The look on his face is... well, "priceless".

When we saw this picture(in our heads) the moon was in perfect position. By the time Emily and Michael got up there, the moon was covered in clouds...They were so accommodating by waiting for the moon to get in position. We were standing on the ground yelling... "wait for it...wait for it..OK! Now KISS!"

These guys really did rock it out. The range of music they played was so dynamic and so good.

Leaving in style. Congrats once again you guys, and thank you for letting us share this awesome moment in your life with you.

We shot Emily's bridal back in February at one her friend's beautiful house.. It was so neat because she lives about 5 minutes from us in a neighborhood I absolutely love!! The day was gorgeous and as always we had a fantastic time with Emily. She has such a great sense of humor and we have thoroughly enjoyed getting to work with her!!

Hope you enjoy!

Barn Hopping...

We live in a semi-rural area and I always enjoy going for rides around our home. The vast, sometimes endless landscapes around here are dotted with barns dating back to the early 1900's... Some were stables for donkeys, some were stores, and some are still used today for storing hay and what not. The barns/stores are all unique in their own way. The vibrant hues of the rusting sheet metal to the deep reds of some of the maintained barns, or just the dilapidated structures themselves are catching to the eye.

We recently had plans to go to an island with one of our couples for an engagement session. Well, plans fell through and we had to come up with something else quick...I thought, let's go Barn hopping!... We asked Lindsey and Jarod if they were up for it, and without any hesitation it was on! We drove barn to barn and stopped in some pastures along the way and had a great time. It was a beautiful day, we had beautiful places, and an awesome, easy-going, gorgeous couple along for the ride. We could not have asked for more...

This barn is right in this guys backyard... No worries... I got permission for ALL the locales a few days prior. I must admit, it was a little odd going to peoples doors and saying, "you have a beautiful barn... mind if we take pictures?" I felt like a barn stalker.

Jarod is an avid golfer. Just check out his form below!

This is obviously 4 pictures stitched together... pretty cool we thought.

I was risking it all for the shot.... not really. Just risking cow manure on me.

The result.

Hope you enjoyed... please feel free to leave us a comment! Also, check out the slideshow below!

The Doster Family

This past weekend we did a Family session for Dr. John Doster, his wife Sydel and their beautiful baby girl, Delilah. We arrived at their home and were warmly welcomed in. John and Sydel were such great hosts. The star of the show was finishing her nap, so we quietly walked in the nursery. Despite our best efforts to sneak in, she calmly woke up and opened her gorgeous blue eyes. The shoot was on!! What a wonderful baby... I seriously didn't hear her cry while we were there! We want to thank the Doster's for making us feel so welcome and having us in their home. We had a great time and enjoyed sharing these awesome moments with them. Now, we want to share them with you...

Favorite shot!! Delilah is such a beautiful baby. This was when she first woke up... don't you wish you could look like that after a nap?! She has such gorgeous eyes!!

SNOW!!!!!!!

The most amazing thing happened this past Sunday... A very rare event.. So rare, it only happens probably once every 10 years... It snowed!! And it wasn't just a little dusting, we actually got 5 inches of snow in a matter of 2 hours. It was sooo incredibly beautiful and we had a ball!! The kids were so excited and I think I was just as excited. We woke up Monday morning like it was Christmas day and were out in the snow before 8 am.. David took off into the field across the street and captured some amazing shots, and the girls and I played and played and played.....ALL DAY!!! We wanted to share some pictures with you... Enjoy!!! -Amy

Emma took off running into the snow when it first started to fall...This was her first real snow experience.

We built Mr. Snowman on Sunday night..

Our dogs, Drake and Madison. They too loved every second in the snow.

Save the best for the last.. This is my favorite shot taken by David..
