Diving Beauty...

I took the girls to my friend Angie's house last weekend to hang out at her pool and enjoy a relaxing day out in the sun. Of course I had to bust out the camera and get a few fun shots of Amanda diving in the pool... Good times!!

And so It begins...

Well, this is my first official post to the wonderful world of blogging, where any idiot can post about something brainless and feel intelligent, and any genius can post and be misunderstood or ignored all together.... Well... I am neither. I am also not a major in English, so my grammar and/or punctuation is not the greatest... yeah... those 3 little dots are usually what represents my punctuation when I'm not sure what REALLY should go there. So, if you are my old English teacher, read on, but put the red pen down....(no really, you'll ruin your monitor.)

I am primarily an artist...and secondly a photographer. Along with my wonderful wife Amy who both share in the passion of art and photography, and we have recently ventured into a business together doing what we love. That's what it's all about right?

All that being said as a preface of the purpose of my need to join the world of blogging. I am not an idiot or a genius...

Workshop with Sposa Bella

We recently had the opportunity to attend a workshop with the very pleasant artists at Sposa Bella. Craig and Lindsey are passionate about what they do and contagiously energetic. The workshop was an eight(ish) hour class that included everything from Lightroom tips and tricks, to more advanced stuff in CS3, a "studio" style photo shoot (real models to boot) and an entertaining and open class flow that made the day genuinely enjoyable.... Anyone interested in Photography as an art form and want to make a living at it, I recommend you attend(that is, if you are in the Greenville, SC area).... There is a link on their blog to check when the next session is...www.sposabellaphotography.blogspot.com

a few shots from the day...

We were all crowded around the models taking pictures and this cute girl walked out on her atrium balcony watching us from above. I'm sure she was wondering who the famous people were that we were making a big deal about.

This is where we were going to eat lunch (I picked it.) ... We stood in line forever! Finally, after nobody came to seat us, we just went inside to the restaurant in there.
