Slideshow From Peeples Family Session

Check out the slideshow from the below post!

Peeples Family session.... Oh my...

OK... Normally when I post pictures here, I pick a FEW of our favorites from the session. Well, this was a tough one to maintain that "FEW" part of the process!

We were contacted by Jeanne to do a shoot primarily around her daughter Morgan and Jeanne's father Bobby. Bobby owns about 11 acres of land and a couple of horses. I arrived early (intentionally because I like to scout the area for ideas...) and introduced myself to Bobby. He was very accommodating and showed me around his property. I had some ideas in my head for some shots in tall grass. So, I ask..."Got any tall grass anywhere?" He replies "There is some (motioning towards the pasture) that I didn't get to the other day when I was mowing. I had worked on the yard all day and stopped here." It couldn't have worked out better...

So, Amy and I lugged the green chair, lights, and tea set out and started shooting. The fading sunlight was perfection. Morgan was shy at first, but warmed up very quickly to the camera...

Take a look....

The very beginning of our session,... Morgan runs from the cameras and gives us an even better picture.

Morgan dangles her legs from the chair feeling the grass with her feet.

The teddy bear could not drink another sip.

Hope you enjoyed. We want to thank The Peeples and Bobby for being so accommodating. We welcome all comments below!

Amanda..Fitness Shoot

We had the opportunity to do an unusual (for us) photo session a couple of weeks ago.. A Fitness Session. Amanda contacted us and needed some images of herself to build her portfolio for her Figure Competition. We were up for the challenge!!

A little bit about Amanda. She decided after having her baby, Tye, that she wanted to get into Figure Competition. She joined SNBF (Supernatural Bodybuilding and Fitness) Federation out of Atlanta, Ga. She entered her first competition when Tye was only 11 months.. For those of us out there that have had children, we all know how impressive that is...getting that weight off is quite the challenge, especially that early on. Almost one year later, she is entering her 2nd competition. You go girl!!

The photo session took place at her home...We had an absolute blast! I want to give a shout out to her sister in law, Julie. She was such a big help, thank you! Amanda and Julie were both willing to do whatever was needed to get the right shot!!

Good luck Amanda in your upcoming competition..Here are a few of our favorite shots!!

O Canada

The year was 1966... My father was about 12 or 13 years old. My great grandfather had purchased some land (I think he traded some woodchuck meat and a block of cheese or something for it) on one of the thousands of lakes that pock the face of Ontario, Canada. The cottage was then built. I was born in Michigan and we would spend one to two weeks there every summer. Seeing that I was born in July, I celebrated many birthdays up there also with my family... all 6 of us. (Mom, Dad, 2 older brothers & younger sis). So, as you can imagine... there are many memories here, on the lake.

Every year, the cottage is winterized in the Fall then "opened" in the Spring. A few weekends ago I had the opportunity to get away and get up there with my nephews, brothers, Father and Grandfather to open the cottage. It was an awesome time and the first time I have been back to the cottage in 11 years. It was well worth the wait.

We have been busy, but I wanted to share this extraordinary place. Take a look.

The drive up there.

We were driving along and I was looking out the window. Without having to say a word, my Dad says... "Wanna pull off?"

Nathan (my brother...who is 33) Brought along this RC baha truck. We were all giving him a hard time about it until we drove it. This crazy thing can go up to 60mph!!!

The south end of the Lake. Hope you enjoyed... I sure did. Feel free to leave your comments below!

Laura and Arthur...

There was a threat of rain, but that did not stop us. Laura contacted us and wanted us to come to their home for a maternity session. Laura and Arthur are expecting their first child in June. We had to be very strategic with this session due to the fact that it would be Laura's last weekend she could travel to their lake home and it was really important to her to get these shots at their lake home.. (side note..they live on Great Dam View Road, and they literally have a great dam view..awesome place!!) Laura and I watched the hourly weather forecast for a couple of days and rain was imminent. We moved the session up a few hours and prayed for the best. It was a photographers dream come true. They sky and clouds allowed me to create some really dramatic and artsy shots...exactly our style!! And the amazing thing was it started to pour down rain right when we were completing the end of their session... Good stuff!!

About Laura and Arthur...what can I say.. I enjoyed every second with them and I think I laughed the entire session. They were so incredibly humorous and are such a great couple.. They are going to be awesome parents!! They were up for anything...thank you! I hope you both enjoy these pictures.. Laura, you were absolutely beautiful!!

Please feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of this session...

...Thanks~ Amy

Now you can see why I laughed the entire session..... Love it!

And save the best for last..my favorite shot from this session!!!
