Barn Hopping...

We live in a semi-rural area and I always enjoy going for rides around our home. The vast, sometimes endless landscapes around here are dotted with barns dating back to the early 1900's... Some were stables for donkeys, some were stores, and some are still used today for storing hay and what not. The barns/stores are all unique in their own way. The vibrant hues of the rusting sheet metal to the deep reds of some of the maintained barns, or just the dilapidated structures themselves are catching to the eye.

We recently had plans to go to an island with one of our couples for an engagement session. Well, plans fell through and we had to come up with something else quick...I thought, let's go Barn hopping!... We asked Lindsey and Jarod if they were up for it, and without any hesitation it was on! We drove barn to barn and stopped in some pastures along the way and had a great time. It was a beautiful day, we had beautiful places, and an awesome, easy-going, gorgeous couple along for the ride. We could not have asked for more...

This barn is right in this guys backyard... No worries... I got permission for ALL the locales a few days prior. I must admit, it was a little odd going to peoples doors and saying, "you have a beautiful barn... mind if we take pictures?" I felt like a barn stalker.

Jarod is an avid golfer. Just check out his form below!

This is obviously 4 pictures stitched together... pretty cool we thought.

I was risking it all for the shot.... not really. Just risking cow manure on me.

The result.

Hope you enjoyed... please feel free to leave us a comment! Also, check out the slideshow below!
